Making bread has been truly an honor and a privilege. Since I can make an artisan loaf without looking at the recipe anymore, I am now only one practical skill away from homesteading, or so it seems in my mind. 🏡

I’ve been making bread for just about a year now and in that seemingly short about of time my breads have gotten heftier, sweeter, chewier, and dare I say, cuter and nicer all around. My bread is instagrammable, and au naturale. The perfect chronically online combo. 🥖

There is something about the art of bread that makes things seem possible. A little bit of flour and water and salt and yeast and poof, bread happens. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t even have to be right! And most of the time the worst breads are still pretty darn good.

Even when my kitchen gets away from me like it always does, bread continues in its lovely breadiness. You don’t need to do your dishes, or even put away all of your cough drops to make a good loaf. I ended up cleaning my kitchen after this picture actually, like myself, bread also deserves a nice home to hang out in, kinda ties the whole room together anyway.
